The
most prominent hormone in the blood, DHEA levels peak at around
25 years of age. After that age, the ability of the body to
produce DHEA steadily declines. Research suggests that the steady
decline of these hormones may cause many of the problems associated
with aging. DHEA supplementation appears to reverse or prevent
many of the conditions associated with aging. Some say it has
the ability to wake up elderly immune systems, restoring them
to youthful levels.
